Birth
A new cell is born into an empty space with exactly 3 neighbors.
Genetics
A new cell usually blends parent colors or inherits one directly.
Survival
A living cell with 2 or 3 neighbors survives to the next generation.
Mutations
New cells have a 1% chance to mutate into a completely new random color.
Aging
A living cell can survive for a maximum of 100 generations before dying of old age.
Death
A cell dies from loneliness (< 2 neighbors) or overcrowding (> 3). Or of old age.
